FREE DOG FOOD RECIPES

The following free dog food recipes will give your dog a bit of variety from the usual dog roll meat or cans.  With so many commercial dog food varieties on the market today it is difficult to know which brand is the best for your dog. One thing to look into is what colours, preservatives and other additives are included.  Like in human processed foods a number of chemicals are added which could possibly be detrimental to your dog's health.  If you do buy commercially processed dog food and you want quality then look at the ones without colours and additives.  The cheaper the product most likely the more chemicals and fillers are in the product.  And remember, if you change your dog's diet do it gradually over a period of days.  A sudden change of diet can upset their stomach.


DOG FOOD RECIPE  -  YUMMY LAMB AND RICE
Dog Food Recipe Ingredients:
  • 1lb ground lamb (beef if you wish)
  • 1/2 cup brown rice
  • 2 stalks Broccoli
  • 2 or 3 medium potatoes
  • 3 medium carrots
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 sheet kombi, Sea Kelp (optional)

Dog Food Recipe Directions:
Brown lamb in a fry pan. After it gets going, put on the chopped garlic to brown. Boil water, put about 4-5 cups into a crock pot so it is already hot while you are fixing the rest of the ingredients. Add cubed potatoes to the fry pan. Cut broccoli and add this to the crock. Put the rest of the works in the pot, add enough hot water to cover. Add pepper to taste. Throw in 1/2 cup brown rice and mix.

DOG FOOD RECIPE  -  BEEF WITH RICE AND VEGETABLES
Dog Food Recipe Ingredients:
  • 1lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1 tsp. chopped garlic
  • 1 1/2 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup cooked oatmeal
  • 1 cup cooked peas and carrots (commercial mix)

Dog Food Recipe Directions:
Prepare the rice and oatmeal.  Brown the meat in the canola oil, add garlic.  Mix all ingredients together.  Place separate servings in plastic bags and freeze.

DOG FOOD RECIPE  -  DOG LIVER DIP
Dog Food Recipe Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. beef liver
  • 2 cups beef bouillon
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder1 16-oz. container plain yogurt

Dog Food Recipe Directions:                                                       Liver and vegetables - great food for your dog
Cut liver into chunks. Cover with bouillon and simmer until completely cooked; drain. Put liver and remaining ingredients in food processor. Blend until smooth. If necessary, add reserved bouillon or water to achieve desired consistency. Refrigerate immediately. Use within 3-4 days. Serve with raw carrots, celery, or pieces of dog biscuits. Alternately, use to stuff cooked marrow bones.
